چکیده
The differential rotation of the Sun is a crucial ingredient dynamo theory responsible for generation its magnetic field. Currently, profile star that hosts one or more transiting planet can be estimated. By detecting same spot in later transit, it possible to infer stellar period at latitude. In this work, we apply first time transit mapping determine Kepler-411, K2V-type with an average 10.52 days, radius 0.79 R?, and mass 0.83 M?. Kepler-411 least four planets, inner super-Earth 1.88 R? orbital 3.0051 whereas two larger planets are mini Neptunes radii 3.27 3.31 R?, periods 7.834435 58.0204 respectively. Their orbits such they latitudes ?11°, ?21°, ?49°. Analysis light curves three resulted detection total 198 spots. For each latitude, was estimated pattern independently. Characterizing Long-Period Transiting Planets Observed by Kepler
Kepler will monitor a sufficient number of stars that it is likely to detect single transits of planets with periods longer than the mission lifetime. We show that by combining the exquisite Kepler photometry of such transits with precise radial velocity observations taken over a reasonable timescale (∼ 6 months) after the transits, and assuming circular orbits, it is possible to estimate the p...
متن کاملMeasuring the Oblateness and Rotation of Transiting Extrasolar Giant Planets
We investigate the prospects for characterizing extrasolar giant planets by measuring planetary oblateness from transit photometry and inferring planetary rotational periods. The rotation rates of planets in the solar system vary widely, reflecting the planets’ diverse formational and evolutionary histories. A measured oblateness, assumed composition, and equation of state yields a rotation rat...
متن کاملBenefits of Ground-Based Photometric Follow-Up for Transiting Extrasolar Planets Discovered with Kepler and CoRoT
Currently, over forty transiting planets have been discovered by ground-based photometric surveys, and space-based missions like Kepler and CoRoT are expected to detect hundreds more. Follow-up photometric observations from the ground will play an important role in constraining both orbital and physical parameters for newly discovered planets, especially those with small radii (Rp . 4 R⊕) and/o...
متن کاملKepler-9: a system of multiple planets transiting a Sun-like star, confirmed by timing variations.
The Kepler spacecraft is monitoring more than 150,000 stars for evidence of planets transiting those stars. We report the detection of two Saturn-size planets that transit the same Sun-like star, based on 7 months of Kepler observations. Their 19.2- and 38.9-day periods are presently increasing and decreasing at respective average rates of 4 and 39 minutes per orbit; in addition, the transit ti...
متن کاملKepler-47: a transiting circumbinary multiplanet system.
We report the detection of Kepler-47, a system consisting of two planets orbiting around an eclipsing pair of stars. The inner and outer planets have radii 3.0 and 4.6 times that of Earth, respectively. The binary star consists of a Sun-like star and a companion roughly one-third its size, orbiting each other every 7.45 days. With an orbital period of 49.5 days, 18 transits of the inner planet ...
